Avil Jackson

Founder | Executive Coach | Organizational Strategist
Rooted in purpose. Focused on people. Grounded in progress.

I’m Avil Jackson, the founder and chief people developer of LuminaNorth Group a boutique coaching and consulting practice helping individuals and organizations move with intention, lead with clarity, and grow with joy.

With over 15 years of experience across corporate, nonprofit, and education sectors, I’ve led high-impact initiatives in organizational development, leadership enablement, and change strategy. Most recently, I served as Vice President of People and Culture at Travelex, where I built global enablement programs, redesigned onboarding experiences, and scaled leadership development grounded in real-world business needs. My approach is equal parts strategic and human. I’ve walked the walk—from C-suite advising to team-level transformation—and I understand how growth truly happens: person by person, decision by decision, moment by moment.

I’m a certified Gallup Strengths Coach and Co-Active trained practitioner. That means I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all coaching. I believe in helping people tap into what’s already working—then building from there. Whether I’m guiding an executive through a high-stakes pivot, supporting a team through a culture shift, or helping a professional rediscover their voice, my work always comes back to one truth: clarity doesn’t come from more thinking—it comes from intentional movement.

Born and raised in Omaha, educated in Boston, and shaped by time in New York and Los Angeles, I bring a wide-angle lens to everything I do. I’ve learned to bridge worlds—corporate and community, systems and soul—and I created LuminaNorth Group to offer a space where people and organizations can do the same.

I specialize in:

  • Executive and career clarity coaching
  • Strengths-based team development
  • Leadership workshops
  • Organizational change and culture transformation
  • Strategic consulting for L&D and talent enablement

All services are available virtually or on-site. When we work together, expect thought partnership, tangible progress, and a whole lot of clarity along the way.

Behind the Work

When I’m not coaching, facilitating, or mapping out transformation strategies, you can find me:

  • Chasing joy—whether it’s through a well-brewed cup of coffee, a belly laugh that sneaks up on me, or a quiet moment of clarity.
  • Covered in paint—literally. Fluid art is one of my creative outlets, and yes, the floors have stories to tell. It’s messy, meditative, and a surprising teacher of flow.
  • Rooted in Omaha—where I grew up, returned, and now show up fully (with a deeper appreciation for both space and community).
  • In the kitchen—I’m classically trained to be a chef, and while I no longer cook for a living, I cook with heart. There’s something magical about the tension between science and spontaneity—order meets intuition. Mise en place meets “let’s wing it.”
  • Learning as I go—because I firmly believe everyone (even coaches) needs a coach. Self-work is real work. Growth is a practice, not a destination.
  • Finding the through-line between culture, systems, and humanity. Always.
  • Helping folks move forward without burning out or selling out. Yes, you can be strategic and human at the same time.

I bring my full self to this work, and I invite my clients to do the same. Growth doesn’t have to be grim—it can be grounded, spacious, even joyful
